Chase the Chef was built from something deeper than business — it was built from purpose.
For Sonja Hill, providing food for others has always been a source of joy. What started as a natural love for cooking and serving people quickly became something more — a calling to create experiences that bring people together.
Over time, that passion turned into a brand that goes beyond catering. It’s about connection. It’s about celebration. It’s about showing love through food.

Food is more than what’s on the plate — it’s how people feel when they’re around it.
At Chase the Chef, every dish is created with intention, and every event is treated like it matters — because it does. Whether it’s a private dinner or a large celebration, the goal is always the same: deliver an experience that feels personal, seamless, and unforgettable.
I had an outstanding experience w/Chase the Chef. The professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail truly stood out. The food was Ahh-mazing. Every dish was flavorful, well-presented, and clearly made with care. A true well‑seasoned pro who really knows how to serve up perfection. Total chef’s kiss!
Chase the Chef went above and beyond for our wedding. The bartending was flawless, our custom drinks were amazing, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about the experience. Professional, friendly, and truly top-tier—I highly recommend them for any event.
The thought and care that was brought to our family at a very tough time. For months we had been faced with the fear of the unknown after my spouse had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Right after her double mastectomy she was given a grand celebration! 'the topic congratulations you beat cancer'. It never occurred to us at that time she was beating it. We still had some treatment to go but after the surgery the surgeon was confident it was all removed. They came in set up and made our small gathering a great surprise and celebration with a beautiful presentation of pink balloons, gifts and the best SOUL food I have ever tasted! Topped off with a beautiful pink cake that said congratulations you beat cancer and champagne to wash it down. It was so wonderful not to worry for an evening. To not only be catered to but to see how much care, passion, and dedication they took to make the evening so special!
I have worked with Sonja and her team on several events including The Jewel of Dallas Gala (The White Rock Lake Foundation), North Texas Giving Day (The White Rock Lake Foundation), and The White Rock Lake Foundation Annual Board of Directors Meeting/End of Year Party. In addition, I was the Chair for the Dallas Theater Center Guild’s A Dickens of a Christmas fundraiser and worked closely with Sonja and her team.
Sonja and her team have truly been a blessing for me in my volunteer/chair position for the above-mentioned events. I would not hesitate to recommend her for any event and have actually done so on numerous occasions.
Tell us about your event and we’ll take care of the rest.
